JJ is ready to bring your artistic visions to life on canvas! Currently JJ is taking a break from doing human portraits, but all other concept art is welcomed! 😀

Commission Rates & FAQ

The cost of a commission painting depends on the specifics of the project. Typically smaller paintings will be cheaper than larger paintings, but the level of detail in a project also determines the overall price. For example, smaller paintings might only cost a couple hundred dollars while large murals will cost in the thousands. When you hire JJ for a custom painting project, he allows 1 small revision for free up front. JJ will let you know if your revision is something that is manageable or if it is something that is a little excessive for him to redo. Something manageable might be fixing your pet's left ear and making it more "floppy". Something excessive might be recreating all of Bingo's best furry friends in the background of the painting when that wasn't discussed in the beginning of the project. For extra revisions needed after 1 change, he will charge $50 per hour for a revision.

When it's confirmed that you would like to hire JJ for a custom painting project, he likes to have full payment up front before the project begins. This helps him gather supplies for the project beforehand. In special circumstances, he can offer an installment option where he requires half of the payment up front as a down deposit and the other half due upon completion of the painting. He accepts all cards, checks, and cash. When you're ready to pay, he will create an invoice online where you can pay for your project.
